Mental Health denotes an overall wellbeing of an individual which enables them to cope with all the adversities of life, realize their full potential and make meaningful contribution to the community. The concept of mental health is vital for every individual as it not only influences one’s thought process but also one’s behaviour and action. Mental health awareness has been the “talk” up to this day and there’s a dire need to address the mental health issues of the youth in the present day situation as the youths who are the builders of coming generation are suffering in silence without getting noticed.
In order to spread awareness regarding the complexities of mental health and move towards a more holistic understanding of situational factors which affect mental health, the Mental Health Institute (CoE), SCB MCH, Cuttack is organizing an “Essay Writing” and “Poster” Presentation for the World Mental Health Day (10th October,2022).
The primary objective behind this write up is to spread awareness regarding mental health issues and challenges in today’s world. The second objective is to explore the core understanding of Mental Health and its Issues in the young minds and witness the power of their creativity which holds the ability for a dynamic transformation in today’s world. Write up of all sort are welcomed.

- Participants who don’t have a valid e-mail Id inorder to submit the Google form they can submit the Google form through the mail id of their respective teacher or parents. The participants are requested to submit their name, age, gender, grade, name of the institution/school and name of their parents or teachers if they are submitting through their mail id.
- The result of the competition depends solely on the juries and no queries related to the result will be entertained.
- MHI (CoE) SCB MCH, Cuttack holds the right to modify the format of the essays and the poster submitted for publication purpose.
- 3 best entries will be awarded in each category.
- By entering into this competition, the entrants grants MHI (CoE) SCB MCH, Cuttack the right to reproduce, publish and use the submitted work and entrants details as required for the appropriate purposes without royalty, commission or further reimbursement. The work will be attributed to the entrant/author at all the times practicable.
- The organizers hold the right to make the appropriate changes in the schedule of the program if required.
